Merz Watching Swans perform at OFF Festival month ago was unreal. It would be a blasphemy to call this music...

Rilu - yeah, it's great. I've never really been into Deerhoof (I have really complicated relationship with female vocals) but it's just pure Deerhoof-kinda fun listening to his album.

Also - new How To Dress Album is pretty great. Much, much, lighter than the previous ones. Not really depraved of all the gloom and depression one could hear before but they are just a small, peaking trough part now. At least that's what I hear music-wise. Lyrics part is undecipherable for me yet apart from small parts, even though the album is MUCH less lo-fi than the previous ones.

Are you afraid of women, Doctor?

I want you to tell me who you are in your dreams. Who is there? And is it beautiful like music?

So I was just reminding myself why I should be hyped about going to Unsound and I went absolutely mental over Demdike Stare, again.

Good stuff. Sacred Bones has really been putting out some quality albums in the last couple years. Particularly like The Men's recent work.

merz, saw swans for my first time in austin on friday and coward was one of the last songs they played... the material from the seer was fucking incredible but coward was just on some other level, i'm still feeling it a few days later. i remember looking up at the venue's ceiling fans, puzzled at why they were off because i was burning up, before i realized it was gira's intention and chose to embrace the discomfort
