no fun fest line up is up. it's at the knitting factory instead of the hook. i've been meaning to go the last 4 or whatever years, but never went.

i saw keiji twice. once at john zorn's space where he played with thurston moore, and then solo at MIT playing a score to a movie. both times were sick.

Saturday stage 1 looks pretty hot. I'd love to see Keiji sometime, preferably doing some guitar mindfuckery but I'd settle for 4 hours of solo percussion or hurdy-gurdy or whatever too. Someday, someday... also Les Rallizes Denudes will play a secret show in the midwest, if I have my way.

In my opinion No Fun has gotten progressively worse with each year (this has more to do with the venue and crowd) although the Macronympha set from two years ago remains the best noise performance I've ever seen. This was everything noise music is supposed to be.

it's funny. i went to go see whitehouse play in boston, but william bennett had a shit fit because of the sound guy and refused to play. so we saw a consumer electronics show instead.

i think the first no fun fest seemed super dope, but each one has the same cast of characters over and over again.

Yes, exactly. That was the show. There was an entire folding table and several chairs being thrown around on stage and into the audience. The bathroom was quite a scene when the plug was finally pulled. I heard about that Boston Whitehouse show. Did you ever get to catch them? My sources tell me they're calling it quits as a duo this summer. While I enjoyed the last few albums it was never the same without Peter Sotos.

ah scalp wounds.... tend to bleed a lot.

Was at a party in college and two guys got into it and one grabbed a rebar outside and hit the other guy over the head with it. His face was a bloody pinstripe from the trails of blood. He was hysterically angy.... like an insane sort of angry it was kinda scary to see a human being just completely uncontrollable like that.
