Sophie is a young London-based producer who's closely associated with that city's ascendent PC Music scene, specializing in a skewed sort of dance music with a K-Pop sheen and pitched-up vocals. He's released a few singles that have people juiced, namely "Bipp" (from last year) and "Lemonade" (a new track). Sophie's is electronic music with a remarkable danceability, all the more so given there are no actual drum sounds involved. (It's a nifty, expert trick.) Start with "Bipp":
This week's track is all lemonade, candy boys, and heartbreak—Sophie's world is a skewed one full of puckered mouths, a fizzy K-pop tonic that sugar-rushes in and out of dank club vibes. Here's "Lemonade":

Was a little dissapointed by Twig's LP1 to be honest. I don't feel like the quality of the songs was up there with those on EP2.
What do you think?

Saw Boris on Thursday and without a doubt, truly one of the best performances that I've seen from them. Despite Michio not present doing back up, the sound was wall crushing.
If You haven't listen to their new album noise, the studio version of Angel Has nothing on the sheer mass moving live version.
The opening band Subrosa blew me away. I was surprised that I've never heard of them till this show. They had me hooked right at the start. Great people too!

Two Weeks or Video Girl are probably my favourite tracks on it.
