I still need to let this song fully soak in after a few more listens, but my first reaction was "Holy shit....he's finally back..."

Love him or hate him, 2015 will be a big year for him.

As much as I want to love current MM, I don't think he can top Antichrist Superstar or ever be as relevant as he was back then. Shock/rebellion in rock has shifted into something else, I think Ariel Pink and Xiu Xiu have it but not MM. Mechanical Animals was a respectable effort back in its day, though not really my thing.

Falls of Rauros 'Believe In No Coming Shore'

The best contemporary black metal album I've ever heard, and quite possibly one of the best of all time. Not a note wasted.

Even if you're not a fan of the genre I suggest hanging in there until the 5 minute mark. I promise it pays off.

Yeah, but I’d draw a line between relevancy and, since some people always mix them together (not you), influence. Those who lack all influence to others may be relevant to some, even if it were only for the teenage pimple boys with black nails and chucks. (like i was)

                  i was enlightened today:

won't let me embed it, and it's not to be found outside of bandcamp, but so worth a listen for anyone seeing this

16 horsepower covering Leonard Cohen's Partisan.

16hp's cover of Day of the Lords.

David Eugene Edwards has the ability to take amazing songs like Partisan and Day of the Lords and add something to them. His 'Wovenhand' album Refractory Obdurate definitely made my top 10 of 2014 list.

I liked a lot Andy Stott. He was here in Italy last here, very nice.
