ddohnggo, we are indeed on the same wavelength. i'm definitely going to check out both of the records. i can't say i'm that familiar with philip samartzis' works but i do have an excellent duo recording of him with sachiko m. which dated years back and i'm already a fan of bernard parmegiani!
