I can't stand by
And see you destroyed
I can't be here
And watch you burn up
Lie for the moment
And lie as a decoy
So does it matter
If I give in easy?
So why
Is it so hard to get by?
And I say
We so down
But it's now or never baby
We don't mind
If this don't last forever
See the light
But it won't last forever
Seize the time
Cause it's now or never baby
Let's leave at sunrise
Let's live by the ocean
I don't mind
If we never come home at all
Steal the morning
So set in motion
In and out of love
And institutions
Cause I know
This can't last for long...

Distraction is an obstruction of the construction.
Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y'awl's neighborhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse's shell
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller

Ethiopian instrumental jazz. My project manager introduced me into another volume from the series, and I was immediately hooked. This volume is one of the more well known (some of the songs were featured in the OST of Broken Flowers).
Marc Ribot Y Los Cubanos Postizos (Marc Ribot and his prosthetic Cubans)
Free jazz guitarist Marc Ribot and his band (I don't know whether it's his band or he gathered Cuban sessions) playing music written by Arsenio Rodriguez. Marc Ribot played for Tom Waits, Lounge Lizards, and many other artists, and I've found him only very recently by reading about Lounge Lizards. Not really familiar with much of his work yet, but most of his other solo projects seem to be quite experimental and largely influenced by John Lurie (which is a good thing). This one isn't (which is, again, a good thing), and it plays more like a straight up latin guitar jazz or whatever genre that I can't say I'm too familiar with, yet it's been the staple of my car stereo for the past few months.
