Glad you enjoyed those vids Zabriski, the bar for metal videos is certainly a low one

On a slower note, right now I'm listening to Steve Von Till (Neurosis), cover one of Neil Young's darker moments, Running Dry.

i'm almost always listening to mark kozelek, and this song is a testament to his best work. powerfully written, and almost universally relatable feeling of saudade for youth, love, and memory itself. it reminds me of so much all at once, in the best way possible; and it is to this day one of the most moving songs i've heard from one of the most artful men in the business

I didn't like Syro at all, it was really redundant. But this one ...

Gamelan breakbeat jazz? Fuck. Yes, please.

First Listen: John Carpenter, 'Lost Themes'

This went up earlier this week, but it's still incredible. Carpenter is a legend and the idea of letting him loose on an album with no film attachment or production deadline is a minimal synth and film score composer's dream.

                            Crazy record, thanks for posting.

For future ref just pull the bit out of the link after the =, in this case it's TKd_f2QBpvQ

and then put that between and it will drop the video right into your post, like:

if there's anywhere on the internet to find another hiha fan, it's here. great japanese screamo, with some hints of post-hardocre and some of the aspects of post-rock. really cool kind of fusion

throwing in some similar acts, as well

I love beautiful melodies, telling me terrible things.
