I can find the (academic) article if there's interest but a have one or two papers that look at different diets (meat heavy; vegetarian; Mediterranean; meat-light) on longeivty and disease and turns out mediterranean and meat-light (like red meat once or twice a week) were the ones with the best results. They were published in good academic journals from what I remember. That kind of settled the subject of how I should eat for me, that being said I'm with James, ymmv, and you should tailor to your needs.
