Better late then never,
I thought it was interesting how SZ relates: "Kings and queens who wear a suit but once, though made by some tailor or dressmaker to their majesties, cannot know the comfort of wearing a suit that fits" (Thoreau, 20). Reminds me of how often people sell stuff on here and discard their clothes after one season.
Though I think it's import to read the whole passage...

no offense, eris. god knows i've read some books i loved only to realize later that they were worthless. Anyway, there was a good article on Rand in the last week's New Yorker.
