The foundation trilogy by Asimov. I'm going through it for the second time, but because I first read it years ago I don't remember most of it. I picked it up by chance at a garage sale and I've been having a lot of fun rediscovering it.

been rather into péter esterházy lately; wrapped up a little hungarian pornography and picked up she loves me. both very good from what i've seen. deserves the hype he gets as far as contemporary hungarian writers go.

In case anyone was curious about John Waters' Role Models, specifically the chapter on Rei, it's kind of rambly and not really illuminating in any kind of way. A lot of it is just descriptions of and musings on pieces and Stranger's Reactions. But I love that he loves Rei and how much it shows.

Recently picked up 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami out of recommendation from a friend and loving it.

                    Murakami is so addicting.

                    Currently starting Thoreau- Walden.

                          Has someone read this book?

I very much like his work and recently read an interview with him that was quite interesting. Was wondering if picking up this one is worth it?

Judging by its cover, it seems like more than I'd really want to know about John Baldessari, but then I don't know who he is.

Finished Colorless by Murakami, great book with a satisfyingly unsatisfying ending. I'd say wabi-sabi, even, if the author weren't Japanese.

Just picked up Old Man and Farewell because I'm too old not to have read any Hemingway.
