yes, it has been in production since 1930, and actually, the first
drafts he did doesn't deviate much from what it looks like today. I
think that's quite something. Here is the bestlite website for anyones
interest ..

They're really nice, but are just decorative. The exposed bulb makes it difficult to put anything with a high wattage because of the glare, so it really serves as ambient lighting more than anything remotely like task lighting. However, a half-silver bulb could alleviate that somewhat, and make it more of an uplight. My friend has one in his dining room.

Was it any good? I turned down an invite to go to tomorrow's press event. Armani Casa's quality's so uneven, with some outright dreck.
Can't wait for ICFF this weekend. I've got such good stuff from there. Need me a new wingback chair...
Late on the reply, but also agree the bestlight will look good. They definitely need wiring into the wall, if you are hiring someone who knows what their doing, it shouldn't be a difficult procedure.

Sure - you just need your press pass, since you're basically press now! I might go several times since I usually scour the first time then make firmer contacts the next.

I went and it was okay (in terms of the party); but, I didn't really pay much attention to what they were showing. Most of the fabrics just look like women's Armani jackets turned into sheets.

I went yesterday on a press appointment. Yawn. But the three other events yesterday were just okay too - I guess I'm just tired of all the shlepping and drinking...
