BTW, anyone else a fan of all that cutesy, witty Alessi stuff? I'm a sucker for it. I have the salt and pepper shakers, and brought the egg cup for my daughter from Florence. It was a real winner, got her to eat egg yolk for the first time, ha!

I have to say I always disliked Alessi, at least their metal stuff. too shiny, a bit tacky imo. some of their shapes are too round as well. the egg cup is cute though, but would only cop for a kid

I personally don't think it serve as a purpose as brightening the room.
Instead, it serve as a purpose by making one "feel" like they are not in their messy room.

I would use it to go to sleep.
