    tomek rygalik's RAW chair

the koolest chair, pure leather holding its own structure with no other support elements - tomek rygalik's RAW chair for Moroso (i believe it never went into production though)...

... if maurizio amadei ever designs a chair...

you can get the thonets at very reasonable prices directly from www.ton.cz; they're one of the original thonet factories.

The concept of this is cool, it makes me wonder what other types of objects can be made with this idea.

        Apologies if already posted.

that would be Altieri's chair, not Amadei.

thanks alot for that - i went with those. normally i am not a fan of copies, but original factory and ten times cheaper was just too good.

Has anyone visited City Joinery? The stuff looks amazing in pictures, but that can be deceiving.

I love Ingo Maurer! Just picked up this lamp over the holidays.

Although I like it, I find the Bertoia Diamond to be almost as beautiful, just potentially not as comfortable but at the same time more "within reach".
The Bertoia Diamond chair is amazing! It's only comfortable if it's completely covered the way you have it pictured. I've found this chair to be the best modern 'laptop' / 'reading' chair. The Eames armchairs though great, don't support your elbows as well.

FINALLY BOUGHT A COUCH!!! What a fucking relief. Now I am starting to understand that an interior decorator is not a totally unnecessary job created by and for the bourgeoisie. Finding the right pieces of furniture can be maddening.

Next stop - curtains and a floor lamp.

faust, you should check out restoration hardware for curtains - they have very beautiful belgian linen, etc.. what sofa did you end up buying?

if you're into industrial era stuff they have quite a selection and pretty good quality at reasonably acceptable prices...

for those in new york, have you guys checked out hudson furniture in the meatpacking district?

Discover the Hudson official website and customize the collections of lighting and furniture for your own space.

exquisite stuff but very very expensive...
