I suppose just because I only see them at the gym doesn't mean that's their only use. Go pre-coffee thought.Hobo: We all dress up. We all put on our armour before we walk out the door, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that we’re trying to be someone else.

From time to time I play the auction game and picked up a vintage Max Bill Ulmer Hocker for a fair price. It's shares the same knuckle jointed craftsmanship as the LC14 (great mention btw!!!) I know at one time Vitra was selling the stool, not sure if they still are.

The Ulmer Hocker was designed for the students of the Ulm College of Design to carry their books to class and then to use as a seat or for storage...
Brilliant!
To be fair I did sell off some early Eames LCW's in rosewood so I had some $$ to play with. I have my few designers that I go ga ga for (Max Bill, Herbert Bayer, Dieter Rams, Poul Kjearholm, Prouve, etc.)Originally posted by Shucksit's like cocaine, only heavier. and legal.Originally posted by interest1I don't live in the past.
