/\ Definitely. It's amazing how no studio wanted to buy it and then it got all these Oscar nominations and made a crapload of money.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

I just saw this, a swedish film I can't believe I hadn't seen. very sad and graphic. although, there's sweet revenge eventually. definitely worth watching if you haven't.
If you like the rape/revenge genre and Swedish films you should check out The Virgin Spring, it's an Ingmar Bergman movie that inspired one of the better know films in the genre Last house on the left.
I recently watched another Bergman movie The Seventh Seal for the first time a couple weeks ago! Sometimes I've heard about a movie for ever but I just never get around to watching it, and then I watch it and wonder why I did not get around to it sooner. Definitely a must see if you haven't. I put it on the first time all late and I was already super tired and I was nodding off and I opened my eyes at one point and there was a close up of Deaths face and it was such a strong image it totally freaked me out.. lol. I had to watch it again the next day though.
Last night I watched The 400 blows which was really good, the little crimey kids had loads of swagger.
A couple days ago I watched Classe Tous Risques, a great and really harsh old crime movie.

It looked pretty real - and you could see the process so to say, im downloading the virgin spring & the seventh seal now! funny coincidence.. first bergman movie I saw was just a month ago or so, "summer with monika" It was alright, but not a favourite really. the story wasn't that exciting in itself, but it sure was cosy and beautifully captured.
also, I saw 400 blows just two months ago, and I loved it. somehow it was calming to me, how someone's dearest wish was to see the sea. at least that's how I experienced it. and yikes, the kids sure had swagger.
thanks for the bergman recommendations! I've heard quite a lot about the seventh seal, but I never got to it. now I finally will.
