Yeah, that was fun! My daughter loved it.

I just watched that new Blue ray release of Sleeping Beauty, I love it that you can watch movies from the 50's now and they look better than they ever have. The detail and color of the backgrounds is insane.

I saw Funny People yesterday. The turn of events was pretty typical of any drama/romance/comedy Adam Sandler stars in (referring to movies like Spanglish and Punch Drunk Love, rather than Big Daddy or Mr. Deeds).

Other than that, I'd say it was pretty funny and had a good storyline/unfolding of events.

I generally don't like pixar movies, but i love that little wall-e sexually

Just watched Fallen Angels. Not as awesome as I remembered it. It seems really random which HK movies stand up to time versus feel really dated.

on a similar note - i watched Blow again and wasn't nearly as good as i thought it was back in the 11th grade. a pretty pointless movie altogether really.

i haven't seen wall e either, or any animated kids movie since the first Toy Story when it hit theaters...Up was mainly intended to be a bonding experience w/ my ol' lady, but i really enjoyed it and was the first time I shed a tear in the dark room since Diving Bell & The Butterfly.

also the film, like those of Disney's most timeless, is a pretty adult and universal picture at its core....

watched 'better luck tommorow' yesterday, liked it but thought the story was real jerky. I can see some of the realism show through esp knowing about asian north americans though i think things are a bit different in cali than they were for me

Carax needs to create more cinema, pronto!

Ponyo was great. Saw UP on 3d and it was a great experience, also the theme of the movie remind me a lot of Gran Torino.

The Carax segment is the better, Denis Lavant as a very strange and disgusting outsider, the perfect Carax character, a metaphor of alienation in a big city, the segment is called "Merde" (which speaks a lot of the tone of the film).

The other too are good, even cute, but they're not corrosive and evil like the Carax one.

Still the film is such a experience and i totally recommend it.

^Thank you. I'll definitely get this ordered.

I didn't know Lavant was in it, but then again he is in
Three of Carax's four films, so it should have been expected.
He is such a physical presence.
