Help me out here.
I have been searching for a movie i saw a year or two ago.
A japanese(i think) horror. Something about a boy who was a son of a chemistry/medicine teacher. It was revolving around some experiment.
due to some circumstances i dont remember much more.

Watched Na Hong-Jin's sophomore outing The Yellow Sea last night, yet another excellent entry in the classic Asian cinema category "... AND IT ALL GOES TO HELL."
While it's a pretty bloated movie (2hrs 20mins) and some of the socio-political themes go over like a lead balloon as a chase-thriller it's incredibly bleak and nihilistic - those of you who enjoyed Na's The Chaser and other Korean cinema like Oldboy should probably give this a try.
An object in possession seldom retains the same charm that it had in pursuit.

^ I concur. Money Ball for instance was OK, but when I head War Horse was nominated I was confused. After watching it my only thought was wow, that horse had some pretty thick plot armor.
I also have no idea why Tree of Life is up there but that's randomly awesome.
The music score nominations are a joke.
"The Hedgehog" is not up for foreign language films and Werner Herzog's "Into the Abyss" not up for documentaries?
An awful year of awards indeed.
