I hated it. what korine does is exactly the same thing as what he comments on, his style is all about 'epiphany' moments (technically it consists in filming something that will happen, then film it, and then film it again to show that it happened) that puts the viewer into a catatonic state, very similar to the sort of ecstasis that money and parties may produce on people. this kind of fascist movie is indeed very much appreciated in our circles, esp by people who also love atrocious shits like drive or gaspard noe's soft porn. bon on en parlera de vive voix

I hated drive and haven't seen one gaspard noe film. I just thought it was hilarious basically, I saw it as a comedy

Lol, word. Speaking of soft porn, I had some time on my hands recently so I decided to spend it in front of a big screen and went to see von Trier's Nymphomaniac, which unfortunately was an utter waste of time.. So next, I went to see Zizek's Pervert's Guide to Ideology, which actually was good... to sleep on. I don't know if it's me and my ADD curse, but recently I can't barely stand watching something for more than .... 20 minutes

Anyway, I think next movie I will give a shot though will be

Thoughts on Nymphomaniac?
Saw it yesterday and although being in doubt while watching, I must say in retrospect, the movie was quite good. Can't wait to see the second part in April.

Can't wait for this to come out in the US. I think it's releasing online on the 6th but I might wait for it to hit theaters instead. Discovered LVT because of Melancholia which I thought was an amazing movie.

Anyone else here work in the VFX/Film industry?
