Helvetica is such a snooze fest. I don't know how can anyone watch it without being hooked up to an ivy filled with caffeine.

A movie celebrating a font? First thing came to mind was a possible SNL skit.

/\ Funny you should post that. Until I got my business cards printed by none other than our own AKA*NYC , I never understood the above clip. But I have gotten so many compliments, some tinted with a hint of envy, that I have recalled this clip many a time.

I had letterpress business cards made on hard cardstock about nine years ago on a top floor pressing plant in Soho. Can't remember the name of the place but they had rows of what looked like 80 year old presses, an interesting sight.

Everyone was impressed with the card, but I changed addresses less than two years later and have most of them still left.

I watched it at the recliner AMC, and still kicked myself for missing it in IMAX. Strangely it was quickly replaced by Ender's Game in barely over 2 weeks or so before I could find time to go watch it at Lincon Square

Fuck, it was at IMAX? Don't tell me these things.

I don't usually go to theatres to see movies but I had a hunch that this flick would only work in IMAX 3D. If I had downloaded & watched this at home I don't know if I could have made it through the whole thing.

                            $21.50 & 90 mins well spent.

technology in movie making can be amazing if done right. I know nothing about acting or filmmaking but I would imagine that it must be extremely difficult to play a role where all the effects and "scenery" are put in afterwards.. Bullock does a nice job; pretty remarkable actually.

Yeah and I missed it too . Would have been spectacular on the Lincoln Square IMAX screen.

I generally pass on most IMAX movies these days because they are in 3D by default and I really don't like 3D. But despite the 3D, I wish I could have seen this one on a giant screen. I hope they re-release it there at some point.
