Saw The Hateful Eight today. I think I never liked any of Tarantino's movies, too much effort put into being original and stylish. But this one could've even lasted a couple of hours longer if it were up to me. Best movie in a while.

Looking for something odd to watch tonight.
Also, of course, Matthew Barney's Creamster Cycle and the River of Fundament - if you can get them.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

Charlie Kauffman's work -- Synecdoche, New York and Adaptation in particular. People love Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind as well but I find it a little trite.
These may not necessarily qualify as surrealist in the sense of the movement, but Eraserhead, Mullholland Drive, Inland Empire, and Dark City all embody different flavors of "surrealist noir" to me.
A Field in England is a psychedelic medieval piece that has a very distinct style / headspace.
There are also some pieces like The Skin I Live In by Almodovar and The Machinist which rely on disinformation / engineered surrealism while operating in a pretty realistic context.
And finally you might give 80s and 90s Cronenberg a shot.Last edited by Arkady; 01-06-2016, 12:01 PM.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations, finishing off Dark City when I get home, will watch most of, if not all of the recommendations given within this thread, I am especially excited for The City of Lost Children.
And to answer @Faust, when I think surrealist, I think Eraserhead.
@Arkady I loved Mulholland Drive as well, may have to rewatch it.
