I wasn't going to,Matt :-) I only saw Casino Royal because it was the best choice on a plane... Still, I should've stopped after the opening parkour scene.

Just watched THE FALL by tarshem has anyone else seen it? Apparently it is a labor of love where he has wanted to make it for 17 yrs. Tarshem directed the CELL.

Its quite an interesting movie & very visual without the use of CGI..Kind of a toned down version of pans labyrinth...NO SCRATCH that...I would love to hear from someone who has seen it first...

really? Even PSH couldn't save the day? This movie has been getting fucking horrible reviews.

oh well can't hit a home run every time.

the movie i wanna watch most for the remainder of this year is The Wrestler

and I hope Pacino breaks his drought with that Dali vehicle if it comes out next year...

They thought they could focus-group away all the flaws of a series lacking in character arcs. They perfectly pulled that off and it deliverered all the surprise and inventiveness such a process can provide; none.

Saw Edge of Heaven over the weekend. It wasn't bad, but not nearly as powerful as Head-On.

                      watched beau travail.

i've been a fan of claire denis for a while now and have enjoyed the majority of her films but i've left this one as my last movie of hers to see since the subject matter always sounded boring. of course that's my loss as it quickly becomes clear why this movie is largely regarded as her best. great film and i might possibly rate it as her best, but i'd have to watch chocolat again before i go that far.

Did you watch L'intrus? Might be her best work yet, either that or Beau travail. Certainly one of my favourite filmakers working right now...

I wouldn't call it a plot in the usual sense as it was more a way to relay his own feelings and perceptions. We can't even be sure of what is imagined and what is really happening.

revisited Boogie Nights. Liked it a lot more this time around, considering when I first watched it I didn't even know what "come" meant LOL
