seen a bunch of good movies recently so i guess i'll share:
the shooting - western with an edge thanks to Monte Hellman
the naked city - 8 million stories blah blah blah, such a classic
citizen kane - this was actually my first time to ever see it
insomnia - the norwegian production form '97. smoked half way through so it was tripping me out towards the end. i really enjoyed it.

The 60,s were different though werent they? Students and young folk alike were out protesting their asses off and it makes a difference. The problem now is an Education costs so much fucking money and the sole purpose of it is too make more money to be able to consume more...
Where are the Howard Roarks of today??

I thought The Edukators was a pretty bad movie. Also, the U.S. isn't really the sort of culture anymore where "student protests" would even accomplish anything anymore, is it? I'll try to find the article but it was a fairly accomplished political activist discussing "change" in the modern United States and how classic ideas of "protest" are essentially irrelevant outside of political grandstanding.
I just watched The Wind That Shakes the Barley for the first time the other day, Fuuma.
