blue velvet - david lynch

im new to movie. i used to watch whats on imdb 250 but i found the ranking pretty wack.

yeah dude fuck those rankings.

Blue Velvet is great. Out of all the Lynch films I've seen it's the only one I would say worked at communicating his vision well. Hopper is brilliant, an iconic performance. Rossellini goes places few actresses can.

Watched Dark City yesterday. Mind-bending. I wonder how much it influenced the Watchwosky brothers when they decided to do Matrix.

watched the new criterion dvd of europa this past weekend. the visuals were amazing, but i can understand why everyone was a little dissapointed in the plot. after having been on a film noir kick for a while now the storyline definitely doesn't hold up with the best of them.

just looked at his filmography and i can't believe the element of crime was released in 1984. i always thought it was from the early 90's.
