So good. But can't hold a candle to the book. Pure sex.
I don't remember the movie but yes, the book is incredible.
Revisited Blow-Up the other day. Found it boring as a kid, watching it once again I liked the way the film was shot - a few scenes in particular were very striking - a very photographic film, so to speak. Pretty sure I would need more viewings to catch more of the details. The Vanessa Redgrave disappearance shot was clever camera work.
The party scene towards the end was brilliant - I don't know if it was the sound quality on my player or what - but the effect of people making noise but yet the viewer unable to distinguish a single thing being said or done was pretty damn good.
Lately I've been watching mostly Criterion movies that I hadn't seen before, a few that I've watched over the last month or so and really liked..
Blast of silence - wicked crime noir
White dog - a white german shepherd trained to hate black people.
Shock Corridor - a reporter going undercover in a mental institution to solve a murder.
Wages of fear - Desperate workers take a job transporting truck loads of nitroglycerin over treacherous south American countryside.
Umberto D - Fucking sad, but great and I thought it had a nice ending.

samuel fuller was such a nut. they broke the mold after him.
Watched SLUMDOG finally after tryong to make it for weeks!
Nice story, Decently made fil Danny has a nack for story telling BUt definitely not award worthy. But then who gives a fuck about the Oscars or whatever its always a formula.
ROCKNROLLA was interesting not as funny or fastpaced as either Snatch or Lockstock but still a redemption from his past stuff. It seemed like the movies should have been a good 30 mins shorter though.
Changeling - Worse than I thought it would be (had moderate expectations). Potentially strong story but the execution was shit.
Curious Benjamin - Better than I thought it would be (had low expectations). Somewhat entertaining movie with a novel charm.
Valkyrie - Sucks to know how a movie ends throughout the entire sitting. Other than that, no suprises, not great but not a complete waste of time.
Waltz with Bashir - First half was exactly what I expected, second half a bit more engaging. Not a total bullshit sympathy film and goddamn I miss Tel Aviv. Person for person, the most dense population of beautiful women in the world (off topic).
Slumdog - Cheap entertainment, obviously. But at least it was entertaining. I dont regret seeing it.
