Naked Lunch - was the first Cronenberg movie I watched and I didn't like it. I know he is well-liked on SZ, would you still recommend me to watch other movies by him? Also, feel free to hate on me

Black Swan - goddamn. Worst movie by Aronofsky. First hour was entertaining but then it began to get redundant. No only stylistically (compared to other movies by him) but also regarding the content of the movie. Got bored.

Idiots and Angels - I can recommend that. It was visually nice and the soundtrack was ace.

concerning Cronenberg check Videodrome (his first if I remember correctly) and Existenz (you might already know that one).
Especially Videodrome is one of my favourites.

I did not like Naked Lunch either. I am not a big Cronenberg fan - coincidentally enough I watched Crash today. It was Ok.

Videodrome is worth watching though!

M Butterfly, I thought, was worth watching. It's pretty cheesy, but towards the end the story comes together in a very precise and satisfyingly creepy way.

I don't understand why A History of Violence is rated. It's like a slightly better acted Jean Claude van Damme film.

History of Violence is good. I liked it because the pacing was so odd, bordering on the surreal, and to me that made it more Cronenberg than JCVD. Not as good as Eastern Promises though, that's a baddass flick right there.
