to be honest I think the pictures are really bad, I'm guessing that the flash adds more shine to it then it really has, and also otherwise makes the material look crappy.

I think i prefer the ones with no opening on the side, the pull on ones. I like the idea of having the rubber band come around the top of the foot/ankle without actually having to hold the boot together. Not that I could afford them right now, but do the black ones come in white as well? Maybe that was already said, but can not remember. Would have to see these in person though to know for sure.
