very true, lots of great stuff. I feel the impulse to criticize the stuff/aspects that aren't great in part to even the scales a little bit here, but we can all wait so as not to be premature with it

i will reserve my judgment on the collection and the wearability of the individual pieces when given the opportunity to see and try them on.

i somehow doubt that carol's respect amongst those who purchase as well as those who unabashedly copy his work comes from 'pretentiousness of the no-photos and many likely unwearable pieces' so much as a general drive to explore and innovate, which generally isn't done on anywhere near similar scale by anyone working in menswear i am presently aware of.

i won't justify carol's presentation methods because i don't always agree with them, but the reason he can force them down people's throats is because there is simply nothing like the finished product of his labour. at all. even its detractors realise this stuff, stripped of any context and taken purely as a work of sartorial engineering, is peerless.

raw, ccp prices aren't that crazy compared to some other brands. hell, augusta's boots are more expensive than the ones they're copying.
people are priced out already because
a. they are in school
b. its a recession


since i know i you and have randomly tried on an entire sale rack next to you which was fun, i can tell you that unfortunately or maybe fortunately ccp doesn't really design for your body type en masse. i think last seasons leather was a nod to the larger built body type as the seasons before is slim on me. i think you'll be able to find some stuff that will make you happy. but lets all be gentleman here (and i say that to myself as well) and let carol drop his collection on his own time before we start to criticize it. (hell, we've waited this long.) that's just not fair and its not fair game.

i think it kev, now would be a great time to drop some of those older collections or i'm gonna have to post the danger seeker bit which will get me banned.

Yep- the pricing everywhere is hard to reconcile. you're definitely right about ccp not being cut for my bodytype, but i'll still peep the footwear etc and definitely reserve any real judgement.
feigned brand- exclusivity rubs me the wrong way- but that obviously isn't any rigorous argument about specific pieces, etc
And yeah, that A trip was definitely fun.
