New leathers don't looks bad. Don't like the new hook closure though. But it doesn't matter as nothing can touch those old overlocks. And I don't remember if I read that he's not doing the fencing we all know and love anymore? Just the new style one?

The inivible-stitch seems to be done and then the free fabric flaps glued down... It looks like it's a classic sewing machine stitch just done at a very wide setting and a looser tension. Clever... and a lovely result.

On the classic overlock jackets, the leather pieces are first classically stitched together and then the overlock/bag machine run over the seam so the overlock stitch is not charged with actually holding the seam together. Not sure about the "scar stitch" method though in regards to if that is the anchoring stitch or purely decorative.

As for the fencing, for anyone who is nostalgic.... just pop on over to the new Julius MA collection to see it.
