Of course most of Carol's work is made not to complement the wearer but to use the wearer's body as a breathing mannequin to display his works. Personally I love that old SZ adage of the "push-pull fuck you" that Carol's work evokes. It's truly the best.

It's nicely said, but isn't CCP about a dialogue between the garment and the wearer?

It looks much better in those photos, obviously due to image quality. I don't doubt the craftsmanship, but something is off. The layers create stripes in my eyes. And when the "hood" is worn down it looks so bulky. Similar to an astronaut with his helmet off.

It makes the wearer into a caterpillar...thats what the joint neck makes me think of anyways...I like the jacket, but half that price could get you a much more classic and more versatile CCP jacket.

But seriously, often Carols work is much subtler than people think.
You got to get pretty close to see the scary parts.
On a shady pic from a slughterhouse interior, hung on meat hooks even a pair of pink converse trainers would look like serial killer shoes.

I love the color of that jacket.
But then again i love all the colors CCP is using.
Even the bleached yellow.
I am hardly the one to go to for... a fair and balanced look.

Did any of you guys notice the difference in softness on the derbys this season? The dipped derby has a supersoft leather whereas the white one is stiff as it was in previous seasons. Did anyone try the derbys A has and can confirm?
I passed on derbys in the past since they hurt my feet so much but now i might reconsider a pair. Want to be sure if this is not a few pieces only thing and why it could be.

And i would also love to hear opinions on how you like/not like the dipping on the derbys...
