Well, it's object-dyed, so... probably replaceable but the metal clasp might look different.....?

One piece folded derbies are sick, tho.

normally CCP has to collect a certain volume/ number of items before dyeing them... so if this yellow is not a 09 colour I am just wondering how many pieces were produced

You would take a huge risk in welding in situ. The entire piece must be super heated, and the flux gets everywhere.

You need to lever it off.

Send it back to CCP, wait a year and get it back repaired.
            Easy as that. :-)

surely it could just be done with a solder iron? but in the scheme of things it hardly effects the jacket as a whole.annoying yes, but it dosent stop you wearing it

It looks like it was pressed on. You should check into taking that piece out then go get it weld. But once you remove, I'm not sure if you can repress it back in the same position.

Otherwise Pumpfish is right, it'd be somewhat difficult protecting the leather welding back "insitu.". Wil probably take a two man job - one to weld and the other to cover it.

On second though, perhaps it is better to send back to CCP. I hear he's somewhat tech genius and so while he will fix your problem, he'll find a different way to improve the design for future jackets

I would recommend soldering it or to try some special glue? Should work for this small piece...

I wouldn't solder it, solder joint is weaker and it will probably snap again in time.

Thanks for all the advice and comments. Yeah it's definitely not a show stopper on the jacket. Just would be nice to know my options with regards to getting fixed whenever I get to it. Sending the whole thing back to CCP is assuredly not worth the hassle for me ;p For now just waiting for what Simone says.

I agree on not soldering, it is very weak and only used for circuit boards for its conducting properties. It will snap easily.

how do you get out of a dead end?
One wonders where it will end, when everything has become gay.
