the lapel cut on the panzer uniform jacket is quite similar to the fencing, except that it was typically worn folded which actually makes it more reminiscent of a classic peacoat shape.

the collar shape and diagonal zipper are quite clearly influenced by an actual fencing jacket, hence the name

I wonder what determines whether the titanium inserts are exposed or not? I've seen some versions that have leather over the inserts where as this one has them exposed on the elbow.

It's amazing.. the gloved sleeves are baffling. I think the fore-arm zips are to allow your hand to snake through to the gloves. Then when zipped the shaft narrows for a more sleek silhouette. The titanium is almost overkill though. Personally I'd prefer it without.

I had thought the zips were to give a bit of wiggle-room for taking your hands out of the gloves... It must be fiddly? I'd never wear a jacket I couldn't sling on and off easily...

I'm not a fan of the titanium inserts. The artistic 'vision' seems to me little more than a rather adolescent homage to Tetsuo: The Iron Man! But perhaps I'm missing something.

That aside, it does look like nice leather.

I tried the version minus gloves with what I can assume plastic inserts (covered by leather) although nice the cupped elbows made it just annoying the visual was interesting but more in a novelty way same as the pants with knee inserts,its something I would use in a photo shoot but as a real life product to wear even minus the gloves it is a bit fussy.
