    Are they kangaroo or horse?
They don't look like roo from the close up...
I'm wondering whether thicker horse leather fails to bend and stretch as much as the thinner roo and as a result the latex breaks away.
Never had that problem on my Roos

            That's disappointing.

You can buy a 5 litre can of plasti dip for £65, £7 more for any custom colour.

Mine is the horse version. I feel that it may be due to the stiffness of the leather too.

I always thought that CCP would re-dip. But since that is now not an option, I think I'm going to get a can of Plasti Dip and try to patch up those cracking areas. Hope that it would help somehow or another.

Don't want the rubber to start cracking all over when I start walking.

I'm not surprised that a re-dip was denied. If anyone does a DIY please post info and pics as there will be a lot of people needing to do the same thing.

I just ordered a can of plasti dip. I'll post pictures when I've gone through with the mini dipping process.

I take it you're going to pour it into a container and actually redip the sneakers rather than use the spray can. Might take 2-3 goes. Looks like ccp does it several times per sneaker. You may even get the drips back if you hang them out to dry

This is going to be interesting.....Can imagine we'll be seeing some interesting colour versions if it works.

Good luck and make sure you photo document the process

I just watched to videos on the plasti-dip website.
I really can't see any reason why it wouldn't work perfectly.
2 large cans poured into a tub and then carefully dip, let dry and dip again 2-3x
Should be easy enough to do blacks, greys etc
Also if you hang them by the laces to dry you will get the drips back as the consistency looks perfect for it
you can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter...

Yup. Not going to use the spray version. Bought the liquid canned version. I actually only intended to use it to cover up the cracked areas with a brush because the drips on mine are still very much intact. Only bought one can of plasti dip because it's not readily available where I am, and I'm gonna do a test run on it to cover up the cracked areas on the rubber. If I have excess, I may just pour the rest out onto a large plate and get the drips going again. Will definitely document the process, so it may benefit those that own the sneakers. Then you guys can decide whether a DIY re-dip is possible.

I think chances of the blacks matching is next to zero,so you would need to full dip to get it to look right,I would avoid brushing on,that will most defiantly look shit and inconsistent with the rest of the shoe, far worse than some minor cracking, which in honesty Im not sure what the fuss is about

I second that and would recommend not kopping the sneaks if you are too anal about your footwear.
In my book they are not meant to be kept clean and new.
I wear mine until they fall apart.
Fuck em up and move on!

same for all poell really, its not made to be babied it is made to be worn, and the times I have seen poell look its very best is when its worn by people who simply wear it to death and treat it as they would any piece of clothing it takes on a whole new life when worn
