i'm going to have to try it on when i go to A. it might not work out for me since i'm a few inches shorter than you (5'9") so the tail might go down to my heels!
Even nicer and sleeker than you described it. The silhouette is as sharp as it gets. The lining looks awesome too. Lucky bastard... :)
yeah you can tell i've been hallucinating when i talk of cow fish and lily pads.
One wonders where it will end, when everything has become gay.
The coat looks good, really sharp as expected from Poell. I am not crazy about the fish tails though. You said you can fasten them?

i wasn't too sure about them when i saw pics months ago, but in person its really nice to have it disappear from a front view and then you discover it again from the profile. i don't have any other coats remotely like this, so i love how fresh it feels. it really creates a nice dialogue w the neck and wrists which are buttonless and fastened in place to flare out. its a total look and i dont think you could eliminate an element w/o it suffering. you can button the tail up into the coat so it encircles your legs. its not a practical every day application more like a once in a snowstorm move. i'll post some pics later when i'm really bored.

Sick ass coat!!! I'm envious of my friend for being able to see/try on/handle all the pieces that just came in yesterday... he told me he tried on just about every CCP piece at A hahaha
Love the construction of the front vs. the back and how different it can be. The other coat that looks awesome this season is the back raglan coat. Fucking love it.
I believe the tail closes like the paper/leather parka from last fall:
Gotta love how Carol evolves and applies each new technique season after season....
