Unlikely, if anything JM will be more likely going for the Converse All Star rip offs. The latest issue of Milk was hyping those up today, saying how they are the perfect compliment to the current trendy men's item of cropped suit trousers.

Jonn (or anyone else, actually) have you guys seen the Rick Owens hi-top chucks in person? How bad is it...I remember Dick came out with a low top sneaker during the height of his Terminators hype, and it was similarly priced but much less impactful than its revolutionary counterpart.

Pretty clever though, DO took the Chuck shape and just added the curved up toebox and is now praised for his brilliant minimalism and leading the wave for high fashion designers to go from Margiela's $200 german armys a few years back to the era of $600 Rafs and Lanvins.

they are just really unflattering... i think people who did like them would get tired of them after 1 season.

Yea, I could see that mass, but I kinda dig something so extreme like that. But yea, maybe in person, they would just be too gnarly to wear on the regular. I definitely enjoy looking at them though.

FTB- You're talking about the new shoes for SS09 right? The black canvas ones? I saw them at Maxfield and they are 'okay' but totally not worth the price. If they were leather, then yea, maybe but still, for $300 more you can buy the OG sneakers which in my opinion, are some of the best designer sneakers to date.
