Everywhere you go now, you see hordes of men carrying their bags like purses - what is so important inside that they can't function without it? Its fussy, unnecessary, and unmasculine.

I'm sure some need it more and some less and I'm not a fan of all type of man bags either, but generalizing it as unmasculine or unecessary seems kind of ignorant to me. what I would have trouble functioning without would be a laptop, a dslr camera, binders, folders, paperwork, lunch etc.. while my leather jacket has big pockets, I'm afraid I cant fit any of this there.

Jean-Michel Frank, the thirties interior and furniture designer, supposedly had 40 identical double-breasted gray flannel suits. He knew himself and is a wonderful example of restraint and extravagance.
