Come on. It's 10 degrees lower in Moscow and you saw what Jin wear.
at 5F to 0F i could wear some old cotton rick, handmade wool (no fancy cashmere or merinos) sweater, and some old RO parka on polyamide not goose down, and drkshdw skirted pants in cotton.
It's just you don't usually have such weather it feels extreme to you.
