I don't understand why Rick Owens will make $3-5k+ jackets, that do not have two way zippers. The most simple detail changes the functionality of the garment completely, yet he never seems to do it, especially with his usually stiffer, extended length jackets. Sure it's minimal, but has anyone else noticed/thought of this?

I actually never cared for double zippers - many times they are a pain in the ass to operate. But before this gets out of hand, maybe we should resurrect the infamous zipper thread.

Double zips are terrible, I have ruined at least 3 shirts / tanks with my BBS zip. Destroyed. And I think it's an aesthetic question, not just "a simple detail change". Obviously he doesn't like the look.

I love 2 way zippers. I like the added functionality and styling options. I had the perfectly good raccagni zipper on my mollino replaced with a 2 way riri.

While they seems functional for those of us who need a little slack in the ponch-area, they hardly make things any more flattering, so I've changed my opinion from pro-2-way to a nay as of late.

Yes I suppose they are a bit annoying to open and close and can get stuck easily... never ruined a garment though, that sucks.
