Really good article^ Much truth to how much Rick has trickled into the mainstream and into the "streets".

Does anyone know what the first store to buy Rick Owens in NY was?

Agree, good article. Nice to see that the interviews we have been reading over and over again over the past years are now considered known ( the history, the routine, etc ) and other elements come to the fore. I would still love us to do an in depth article on him for SZ in the way Eugene did with Steidl...

The thing is, I feel completely opposite of you. Rick has given so many interviews that I don't know what else of substance he can say that would warrant a large article. And I found this piece quite banal exactly because I've read so many RO interviews. (Except the hotel part - it would be totally baller if Rick did a hotel.)

That's the very reason I like the pieces Rick has written for StyleZeitgeist magazine - they are witty and provide insights into pockets of his mind previously unexplored.

Besides, I've already done it in 2009 for Haaretz :-)

See your point. Maybe it's more about getting an insight into Michele's things. I remember hearing about the Venice project and it sounded amazing, as does the idea of a hotel. I mean, Las Vegas is going to happen for sure, would love to see a Rick / Michele take on a casino too. Maybe I just hope there's more to find, but I realise that might be in vain...
