you are/she is absolutely right. sometimes. while I see where the observation is coming from, I think it has a lot to do with the material components of the piece. as far as the aviator is concerned, there's a significantly higher middle-earth factor in the s/s 07 version than the newer ones, owed not only to the fabric, but also to the detailing (e.g., the matte greyish bluish zipper versus the chrome hardware on newer versions) which to my eyes adds up to much more of a legend of zelda aesthetic than adidas. this is to say: don't expect to see my aviator in the classifieds anytime soon, but, then again, this



makes me think more of prada sport than anything else.

I think these pieces can be pulled into many different looks and I respect the Zelda aspect of it for sure.

Personally, I'm drawn to this stuff because it fits well into the ninja-gandhi aesthetic I am going for/fell into.

apparently a lot of things shipped to the u.s already.
