To me the lines running down the front seem disjointed from Luca's previous work in creating fabric to the shape of the body rather than cutting fabric to the shape of the body... It also reminds me of one of my favourite milspec labels ACRONYM which could not be any further from the philosophy and design of LUC...

In regards to A's new buy, I need the SS08 Loose Weave Scarf in my life...

doesn't look like it. the fabric doesn't look as coarse and the price isn't as brutal as A's. i think they said that only 2 were made and they got both.

When I think of LUC, Luca's innovative 3D knit construction techniques immediately come to mind... In most instances of LUC jackets and coats that I have seen and touched, the fabric seemed to gracefully form and roll around the body... Much of this sculpting is done by increasing and decreasing the weave density at various parts of the garment...

I completely agree...that jacket is very reminiscent of the soft-shells ACR puts out...the SS-J5, then the white one (I forget the model number), and the new SS-J6...

I'm thinking about ordering one of those loose knit 2D sweaters for myself....I wonder if a Large would fit me? Hmmm...

The prices are actually quite good for the women's pieces too.
