Individual sentiments is a label that mixes japanese conceptualism with precise italian tailoring. The collection includes footwear and leather goods with bold silhouettes and an approach to craftsmanship that is almost origami-like in nature.
Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde
"AVANT GUARDE HIGHEST FASHION. NOW NOW this is it people, these are the brands no one fucking knows and people are like WTF. they do everything by hand in their freaking secret basement and shit."
i hate to impose with the much-dreaded price check in here, but am really wondering how much the derbies at top of this page cost. That is 'new classic', epitomized.

they actually remind me of a cross between ma+ in the toe and old helmut lang in the two hole lace ups...tastes like new coke
One wonders where it will end, when everything has become gay.
If so, equation more like helmut + ma + yohji - flap of leather reminds me of these Yohjis from around 2005-2006 I think (my first atelier purchase). My favorite shoes actually but unfortunately a size too big...still hard to let go.
Two eyelet derbies are quite common, I don't see how the "flaps" or the two eyelets can remind you of anything but shoes. Pretty much everyone releases derbies at some point...
YY connection (flaps being continued towards the heel) is right on though...
really? i actually havent seen any other shoes with the extra flap of leather extending from shoe body to heel before. maybe i havent been looking hard enough. over time, the flap gets worn in and would imagine eventually gets cut raw to the shape of the shoe....
EDIT - just saw the end of your post
and EDITEDIT - don't get me wrong, like the look of the IS derbies.

DD boots dont have flaps per say but have a leather heel cover and from what ive seen the aforementioned raw, worn in look is less than flattering. id opt for some decent rubber heel action surely.
