hey, pleasant making your acquaintance in person. i think you actually saw my reaction to IndiSent first hand, as i dribbled and drooled, stammering through 'oh my fucking god this is intense'
i'm trying to decide right now if i want to go for the IS chore double-sleeved chore jacket first, or join you on a quest to obtain that holy grandma grail jacket. leaning towards the latter, but i'll be getting the long black coat and possibly that gray one as well.
amazing stuff - would be nice to see item photographs from other stocklists or a complete lookbook to get some idea of what we haven't seen. so far the vision is compelling enough for me to want the whole collection in my closet. yes, it was that epic.
Fausta or Individual sentiments, because the IS designer is a woman (she not he).
I had the same reaction as many, was very impressed by the garments when I saw them in person. It could become the stronger of the post-carpe bunch as it has it's own distinct identity.
Here is a close up fo the sleeve for a detail shot of the 3 layers that make up this piece. This thing is substantial! Heavier than most coats in my closet. The version pictured is (from shell to lining) Alpaca/wool-cashmere/silk-cashmere/cotton. Its like wrapping yourself in love!
In complete agreement with the rest of the recent posts...the clothes really need to be handled (and tried on) to fully appreciate - even these images from the IS site really don't do much justice.
I especially loved the layered hooded wool coat and the cashmere slim pants - this might be the first generation post-Carpe that has really appealed to me in a big way, including MA+.
Sartorialoft is the only North America stockist? Kind of hard to believe for such an amazing line. I missed out on the high collar jacket and need to find it somewhere else, but it looks like the japanese sites are the only other option.

That is what Kurt of KH said. And there is a man who knows his stuff.
I think its really important to echo the sentiment of Een, Kev, Merz....who have actually seen and handled the pieces at this point. There is a whole new depth of appreciation gained when handling this season's collection in person. Not only because the fabrics and construction are unbelievable, but because you see how starkly different it is from anything Continues has done and how she has evolved herself even from the last season. The similarities seen in photos are as deceptive as the weight of the layered hood coat Kevin was talking about.
no if i was f/w 08 t was s/s 08 i think. nice pieces stolen from a better era.
edit: but since you never rave about anything other than cloak 04 its probably worth a second look. but the jackets are such blatant ma+ rip offs. and carpe is all over this. whats the point in spending anything when you can still the original. it weirds me out when SZ gets all hypey and the criticality goes out the window like a drunken....
a vest was $500 in tokyo last year. so you know the shits not cheap.
One wonders where it will end, when everything has become gay.
glad to hear youre excited about something. and no doubt dhc is packing a flamethrower. hopefully i'll be able to catch some of this somewhere to form a current opinion.
