Come on. He's an interesting guy who actually does really inspired womenswear and decent, if boring menswear...plus how badass was that Perry Ellis grunge/punk collection that launched him to fame?

I'd honestly love to share a cigarette with him (and I don't even smoke).

I'd do it just so that when he gets photographed and the pictures published with the headlines "Marc Jacobs gets assaulted by stranger" I can nudge the person in the line at the supermarket next to me and say "see this fucker? I did that."

Everyone wears the same fucking thing - it's so easy to stand out. I wonder why you find that hard, especially in Sweden. When I was in Stockholm, every boy looked the same. I've never seen such a like-minded city in terms of fashion in my life.
I agree. it's not hard at all. But for most people dressing differently is only possible if you aren't being ridiculed, so they tone it down. it's all so adequate and proper, the passion completely disappears. Nothing is chosen on instinct or impulse. it's calculated.

I can definetly love a boring or uniform outfit, it's not that. I'm missing idiosyncracy. or at least a more general acceptance and respect towards it.

You can be a little different, but not too different. Almost like in Animal Farm bu George Orwell. "All people are equal, but some are more equal than others"

maybe OT, but the issue for me is another one. You like fashion, and don't wear Dolce or Ralph lauren or some flashy guido shit? Then you must be gay!! ( should have been the other way though )
You couldnt have explained my current situation any better. My case right now is being stuck at the University of New Hampshire (yes, new hampshire). People here act like a herd of sheep as well, but this particular species has a strong background in close-mindedness and prejudice. 95% of them have migrated from Maine, Mass, etc. Sadly, the norm here is American Eagle, Abercrombie & Fitch and Timberland boots. Anything outside of this is considered primarily (as you said) gay, and if not gay, then emo or newly introduced, indie.

So I get shit not only for what I wear, but for being of asian descent as well. I have even been in a couple physical altercations for these things. The good thing is that by now, alot of people have gotten to know me for who i am . Its easier for them to respect you once they've figured out that you're just being true to yourself.

I also lived in Guadalajara, Mexico (same city Gutpocho is from) for 11 years. People there are way more open (tight jeans aren't considered gay). Even tho they may have not been exposed to much of the world either, they are more curious than judgemental. Anyway, not only have i become used to standing out, but standing out is what has shaped me into who I am today.

Sorry if I came off as super corny/cheezy. This subject just happened to pop up. Now, back to designers and what they wear.

I can say that this is the first time I've ever been accused of being prone to "madness."

                                A good first.

I have to say, I loved the pictures of Raf from Jak & Jil / the runway this season.
