saw the gold guidi's today at A. The REST of the collection looks really good, and the prices are very reasonable. a nice black lace up combat and black derby. Also, the basketweave backzip boots are pretty wild.

I got the horse back zips one size up and they are a bit of a pain to break in but I am loving the more substantial folds created by the thicker leather. Now to stretch those f**kers!

SZ's 2009-2010 crave for Guidi sounds as a move from metaphysics (CCP, Carpe) to positivism in the realm of shoes. Guidis are perfect, comfy, made of the best leather I've ever seen, my feet love them, but my heart does not approve of this 'carnapian' shift... who said nostalgia here ?

well, no brainer in the sense that two years ago i was insta kopping $2000 ccp boots in different colors. more bang for the buck now, less mental anguish . also, for me anyway, first few times i tried guidi, they didn't feel right, it was only after getting a pair on deep sale and wearing them around for a few times did my feet acquire that perfect taste. then i was able to cross into the vaulted orwellian light. believe me, it had nothing to do with anything anybody said on here, though it appears there has been a style zeitgeist moment. i plan on getting an entire animal farm of them.

week 4 guidi break-in report - now i wish i got half a size smaller. but maybe it will be perfect in the winter with a thick suck. the back of the foot does not hurt anymore, but i still feel it, probably due to them being a bit loose. just put vibram soles and tabs on them, and they feel better.

Anybody have any experience with the front zips; size-wise? I'm about to have a store credit to Lazzari and can ill afford to be re-shipping back to IT.
