I think when they talking with "strength", those are similar in horse. But if they compare with baby calf it should be much stronger for the shape.

As you can find out there're using soft horse quite conventional with most of zipper boots right now.

Guidi 992T Derbys

...anyway here is a pair of humble Guidis, worn and loved for a year.

I recently bought a pair of Guidi 992 Derbys which appear to be constructed from shell Cordovan. I say appear because they they bear no resemblance to the polished shiny surface that I associate with that term. The salesperson at the shop which I purchased the shoes from assures me that it is genuine shell Cordovan and indeed there is a handwritten legend on the box that declares it to be 'Cordovan Con T' (whatever that means).

The front part of the shoe is quite hard and has a matt finish whilst the back portion has probably been distressed and resembles suede/nubuck; there is a visible nap. Can someone please advise me what the care protocol is for this type of leather assuming it is distressed Cordovan? Do I treat it like normal Cordovan or like suede? Any advice would be much appreciated.
