has anyone had any issues with the zip taping on their Guidi's? the taping on my backzips has started tearing around the heel, although this was after over a year of almost daily wear.

Agreed - they have some really good buys but the presentation does not do it any service. Living in Boston I'm happy to have it for what they stock but I cannot see why they don't either A) move to a bigger space or B) trim down the inventory. They don't seem to clear things that don't sell for years...

It's Guidi. You think stores would add stuff on top of a product they sell?Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

Not too keen on the strips of metal. In my personal opinion, Guidi is at their best when they're as minimal as possible -- backzips, soft toe, no-seam derbies, etc. -- in a way that just shows off the leather (and their heels generally look great). I'm not sure what a random metal embellishment really does for the shoe, feels a little tacky to me, but I suppose they want to try out new ideas and keep things fresh. Now if the metal stretched under the heel and protected them, they might be on to something...
