Still reading through this thread (new to PH) to learn what I can, but does anyone know how the current New Blazer compares to past seasons? For example, this piece was posted for sale recently. Possibly Spring 12 or 13. Noticed that the fabric seems seems especially thin/light in the pictures, compared to those from the current season that I handled at IF.

This may blow your mind -- but at times, SS fabrics are thinner/light than AW fabrics which is what has just recently dropped at IF.

This is because of climate differences, e.g. it is generally warmer in the Spring/Summer and colder in Autumn/Winter hence lighter vs heavier fabrics.

This probably explains the discrepancy you experienced.

Mind blown. We don't have seasons in CA.

I should clarify: visited IF was a month ago. I assumed it would still be the SS 2015 line at that point. Incorrect assumption?

I think ph's fw starts coming in around june-july at least in europe, so it may have been fall stuff.

i visited IF two days ago and can confirm they still have the SS 15 collection as well as the FW 15 one. fw has some heavy coarse wool fabrics and you may have seen orange lines on the ss jackets.

So Paul is producing in Wales now -

I wonder where? A lot of the clothing manufacturers around where I grew up went bust after companies moved all their production overseas. I remember was a big fuss with Marks and Burberry.

Hopefully he's given work to some of those very experienced workers in areas that are now plagued with unemployment.
