yea I remember the one he tried on at malher (our voice of reason = COPCOPCOP). but he said "long coat" which threw me off a bit as that was more like a jacket, I think..

either way, the one I was talking about was a coat, and was at rue herold.

I know avantster has a similar long coat from harnden, he rocks it very well (i don't remember if he has posted the pic here).
For some reason i think it works better on my silhouette than the short blazers.

the coat is great, I think this was the second time I tried it on

it was about 1/4 size too small for me though, the back pillowed out a bit due to this.

the long blazer is equally nice!

I remember Faust's long blazer, it actually looked fairly Ann-esque on him which was great. The ones that get away.. The official name of that cut is supposedly 'long jacket' (5 button) while the shorter 4 button is the 'pocket blazer'.

I had a jacket from last f/w also described as a "tweed" color and it is more gray-ish and less brown than the one in the photo.

sadly i dont have either pix or the jacket right now~ was to hungry for cash a while ago and passed it to someone. tried to find it from online store, but failed. texture looks similar to that in the photo a couple pages back, but it is more of a gray tone than brown. and i think the fabric in the photo looks thicker and more coarse. could be due to the composition difference (is it 100% wool? the one i had is a cotton/wool blend).

I've been told that the colour/description of this jacket is TWEED.
Can someone more familiar with PH describe this colour?

i would say the color is about right. stop by IF while it's still in stock. it's fucking gorgeous..
it's a heavy-weight, burlappy tweed goodness with more pronounced wrinkling than the one in that picture. 5 buttons i believe but i wasn't counting. there's a long version of the tweed and a black version that's mid-weight..

no, i got the slightly longer cut 4-button mid-weight black tweed. the grey is a smaller cut jacket and i am too tall for it unfortunately..

enders nice buy on the black longer mid-weight jacket - i looked at it but I am better with the classic length

Fade to black: i scooped that baby! - I took the size medium! its currently somewhere in the air between USA and UK....will post some pics as soon as it gets here.

and its 4 button - exactly same style as the picture, but as enders says, more pronounced wrinkling!
