Jil Sander back at Jil Sander is a much more interesting news. I hope Slimane stays away from Rock influences and being some hip gay dude and brings some elaborate designs to the label.
Hooolyyyyyy fuckkkkk! Funny that just this morning I talked about how he should make a comeback after watching some old Dior Homme vids. And now I read this.

Fuck you and your viewpoint, I hate this depoliticized environment where every opinion should be respected, no matter how moronic. My avatar was chosen just for you, die in a ditch fucker.
As I have said in the Miguel Adrover thread......somehow I feel a certain excitement and vibrancy in fashion again that has been missing for a while..........
Interesting the he is returning to the very place he started.........interesting to see where Raf goes and where Pilati will end up as he is too good a talent to just go away.
would love to see Theyskens leave theory ad get a Job that fits his immense talent.......no offense to Theory, but this man is a European Couturier of the highest order and not a designer to be assigned to pure commercial sportswear activity
“You know,” he says, with a resilient smile, “it is a hard world for poets.”

Where has Hedi's aesthetic developed to in the last few years? He had done to death the shrunken boy man so beloved of the "Dior ain't what it used to be" choir. And a designer of his talent will have moved on...
I really did not see this coming since I got the impression that he was "done" with fashion. However I do recall reading an interview with him where they asked him if he would like to get back into designing and i think his answer where along the lines of "I guess I'll have to start when I get tired of wearing my old clothes".
I'm almost scared to be excited to then be disappointed. It's like...Seinfeld for me; I'd love for it to start up again (because it was so epic), but then I'd be scared to have my flawless memory of it tarnished if it were to fail. Maybe it's best left as an untouched memory (says my risk-adverse personality).
