well, the song and the cage like mask are factual statements in her article, i think her interpretation of these facts is indeed her opinion which is subjective, and likely formed upon her experience, perspective, beliefs, etc. she never claims it factual. i don't see why she can't be entitled to feel ill about it as much as some feel good. besides, she gave plenty of credit to RO's design.
i'd like to hear why people find this to be so empowering to women. but then that would be just an opinion, an interpretation of facts and subjective. mankind draw vastly different opinions based on exact same set of facts. instead of focusing on the difference, maybe it would be more constructive if we could try to understand each other's perspective.
